What brought you to this work?

I had an interest in birthwork and babies from a very young age. However, when I had my daughter 20 years ago, I knew from that moment on that I wanted to work in birthwork and offer the kind of support that I believe every birthing person should have.

After years of self-exploration, education, and life experience through all stages of life, this finally felt like the perfect time to focus on doing the work I had always hoped and dreamed of doing. After two decades of thinking about it, I completed my training with Doula School Canada in the magical setting of Lake Atitlán, Guatemala in January 2026, and I am now ready to embark on this beautiful journey in doula work.

When I’m not focused on my doula work and continuing education, I enjoy spending time with my awe-inspiring daughter, family, and friends. You can often find me tending to my garden and greenhouse or relaxing with my beloved chickens.

What’s your personal style as a doula?

I am a doula in training, and this is a journey that will continue to grow and evolve. I believe that knowledge is power, and that entering your birth experience informed and supported can lead to a deeply empowering experience for both the birthing person and their support team. I am respectful of cultural birth practices and open to learning about and helping you honour them in meaningful ways. I also believe that it is your body and your choice—whatever that may look like—and I am here to help you feel heard and supported during some of life’s most vulnerable moments, with empathy, compassion, and love. When we work together, amazing things can happen.

Training + Education

I am also approved under the Doulas for Aboriginal Families Grant Program in BC.
