What brought you to this work?

I have always gravitated toward care work, holding a deep fascination and reverence for pregnancy, birth and parenting. My path into birth work unfolded in my 30s, when a dear friend faced serious pregnancy complications. Witnessing her journey showed me how crucial it is to have compassionate support, dignity, and a safe space to make informed choices during life-altering transitions.

This deep respect for life's threshold also called me to death work. To me, birth and death are similar realms that hold hands; both are sacred, intense and deeply transformative experiences. Every human deserves grace, respect, and to be truly seen and heard at both the beginning and the end of life. I believe that having dedicated support during these profound moments cultivates strength and empowers families. It truly is an honour to protect your autonomy, advocate for your choices, and walk alongside you as a compassionate witness to life's most sacred thresholds.

What’s your personal style as a doula?

My aim in caregiving is to be a grounding, warm and calm presence. I take the time to deeply understand your unique values and preferences, ensuring your specific needs and desires guide the care you receive. Because every individual and birth is different, I am highly adaptable, tailoring my emotional and physical support to fit your unique situation. Above all, I am committed to providing non-biased guidance, reassurance and unwavering encouragement. My ultimate goal is for you to feel safe, empowered, informed, and completely respected at every step of your your journey.
